  • Tic disorders are common neuropsychiatric disorders in children and adolescents. They are often accompanied by one or more comorbidities, which increase the difficulty of disease diagnosis and treatment and have become the focus of attention in recent years. Tic disorders comorbid with obsessive-compulsive disorder is a common comorbidity in clinical practice. Studies have shown that there is a complex bidirectional causal relationship between tic disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Comorbid obsessive-compulsive disorder increases the complexity and difficulty of diagnosis and treatment of tic disorders, resulting in reduced clinical treatment effect and prolonged course of disease. It has become a major problem in the clinical treatment of tic disorders and an important cause of refractory tic disorders. It has attracted wide attention in the world, but there is relatively little attention in domestic academic circles. This article reviews the latest global literature on the clinical characteristics, etiology, pathogenesis and clinical treatment of tic disorders comorbid with obsessive-compulsive disorder, aiming to provide a reference for related research on tic disorders comorbid with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
